Pop and I had a busy, fun week.
We went to the High Desert Museum,

We took Pop to the Cuban Kitchen. No, no, Pop...I'll pay.

Ropa vieja. Thinly shredded flank beef cooked in tomato base sauce and marinated in garlic, bell pepper, onion, bay leaf and more. UNADJUSTEDNONRAW_thumb_ff27
Puerco asado. Pork marinated in tasty tropical spice and mojo juice. Slow cooked then topped with grilled onion. UNADJUSTEDNONRAW_thumb_ff26

We had a nice big breakfast before skiing. Dad made brioche, topped it with bacon guacamole, and poached eggs. Even the food couldn't help but smile.
