The Bigs are pretty excited that they can pawn their chores off on me now.

I'm not impressed.

I can't complain too much. If I say I want to bike and it is dark out - they make it happen.

They also take me to playgrounds with slides

and awesome swings.

I don't know what a weight limit is, Mom, but I think we are OK.


I really love to bike.


Sometimes I ride over a mile and work up a real hunger. Mom and Dad treated me to dinner at 123Ramen after one especially long ride.
Mom had ramen with slow roasted chicken and curry-spiced pumpkin.

Dad had ramen with ginger meatballs, sesame miso kale and poached egg.

I had the Little Ninja - a small version of Dad's. There is only one thing I love more than meatballs. Noodles!

We also had steamed buns. One was stuffed with pumpkin and the other with cabbage and bacon.

Another night Dad made lamb ribs, squash, and butternut squash ravioli. Noodles and meat. YUM.

Our neighbors gave us six butternut squashes from their garden and loaned us two very good cookbooks. We had this delicious squash dish last night. Squash with chile yogurt and cilantro sauce:

I kept Nan busy. I took her shopping

and to the indoor trampoline.

I also taught her how to cook

and made her hike in the snow.


We went to Spork. I ordered a pork taco, but mom's carnitas sando (toasted sandwich with slow roasted pork, salsa, chili mayo, yuca chips, fried egg, cilantro, radish, cabbage, cotija cheese) was so good I had to eat most of it.

I really love toast. I am a huge fan of two pieces of toast with melted cheese between them. The Bigs say that is not toast, it is grilled cheese. They are always correcting me.

Moderately exciting week. I scaled some rock walls,

petted some animals,




and did some sliding.

The weekend is here! The bigs let me eat eggs, toast, and coffee!

Baby Owl Book. Baby Owl Book. Please, Please.

The bigs have been holding out on me. I found this awesome book about a baby owl on the bookshelf. I make them read it over and over. (It kind of goes downhill after the cover.)

We went hiking up Black Butte. I'm sick of riding Dad, so I made Mom carry me. I think it hurt Mom. She couldn't walk the next day. Oops.

Leaves were tuning on the way up.
