I am not sure how my bigs got anything done without me around to help.

Next thing you know I'll have to do the driving.


Dad did the Pole, Pedal, Paddle this weekend. I got him warmed up for the skiing (downhill and nordic) with some stair climbs.

Mom and I grabbed all dad's skis and headed down to town. We missed his bike ride and run, but we did see him on the paddle board.

My bigs said I was a very good helper during the race and that I earned some time at the playground.


I can so rock the man capri.

On Sunday I road to the top of Skyliners Road. My first long bike ride of the season. I'm a bit out of shape.

I had to lie down for a long time when we got home.

I recovered in time for the first picnic of the season!

Our picnic ended, as all picnics should, with some gelato (thanks Nan)!

I had a busy week. Loads of yard work.

We planted two trees in front of the house.

At first I helped.

Then I remembered some advice Pop gave me. "Emmett, wear the khakis. Don't do the work."



Good work bigs. I'm going to go take a nap. See what you can get done while I'm sleeping.

I'm not sure why you say I slow you down. Look how fast you got that tree planted. It's only 3:30. We have time to go get another one!


One cherry and one plum. Done.

It was Mother's Day this weekend. Mom is always using my tools,


so I bought her her own pans. Now maybe she'll leave my stuff alone. A great chef does not share.

She seemed OK with it.


Apparently Mom and Dad had a very nice breakfast before I got up this morning. Total BS.

It was a long, hard week, but I still had time to be silly. Socks on my hands. Oops.

Oh, and I turned 21 today.
