Merry Christmas! We opened some presents on Christmas Eve.
I wore everything I received for Christmas Eve tapas. You will not believe how much shrimp, salami, and smoked salmon I ate.
I am happy to report that Santa did come. He did not finish his cookies, but he did leave skis!
Thermals? Check. Backpack? Check. Helmet? Check. Skis? Yup. Snow? Plenty, as soon as the Bigs finish their stinking coffee and drive me up to the mountain! It is not 7 am, my new watch says it is 6, 11 oh 30. Come on!
Christmas Day ski. The Bigs insisted on a nordic ski first. And mom even stopped and took pictures. Come on, Ma. I want to go pine skiing!
Lets do this.
What do you mean I can't ride the lift today?!
Sophie came over for Christmas Dinner. She poses for pictures as well as I do.
We had lamb shawarma.
We hit Crux this week too. Tacos,
brussel sprouts,
a charcuterie board,
and yummy beers. Thanks Nan and Pop.
Day 2. Look at this WEDGE. Lift, here I come.

Sometimes you feel like being a reindeer.
Train guy is back in town. Fun fun fun.
Time to make cookies for Santa.
The bigs had to look up how to use a cookie press on YouTube, but I've got it figured out. Put the trays outside to chill them first, Ma. Duh!
You may not be able to tell, but these are green eggs and bacon.
Dad makes the best breakfasts.
Wanna race, Dad?
For the delusional grandparents who think I am a peach. It got UGLY from here:

Monday was the Growing Tree Holiday Program, so we stopped at Poke Row for some poke bowls beforehand. Dad had the Signature Bowl:
Mom had the Cascade Bowl:
Getting ready for the big performance:
The Bud's on stage:
Making gingerbread cookies with Mom:
While we were decorating, Mom was muttering under her breath about June Cleaver. No idea what that was about.
Can you believe the Bigs suggested we make gingerbread men without checking to see if we had the right cookie cutter? Not a man in sight.
Check out my technique, Nan:
After all of those cookies, it was time to "Get Physical":
Time for my first clipper cut:

Christmas Tree #4

Ma's birthday was this week. Happy Birthday, Ma! I took her to Laughing Planet for dinner. She likes to play with their dinosaurs.
Mom had the Korean BBQ Bowl:
Dad had the Autumn Bento Bowl:
I had the Kid's Trifecta. I shared with the dinosaurs:
I also made Mom a cheesecake. I think mom was confused. Is she four, or is she two?
I don't know how old Mom is, but apparently she is special. Or at least she was for a day:
After skiing on Saturday, we went to find a Christmas tree.
This is my saw:
We found one! I let Dad help me cut it down:
I put the tree on the sled,
and let Dad help me drag it to the car:
I love Christmas lights.
I used up all of our balls, and this branch isn't even full yet. We're going to need some more ornaments!

Pop and I had a busy, fun week.
We went to the High Desert Museum,
Bouncing Off The Walls,
and the trampoline place.
If that was not enough fun, Pop bought me a toolbox.
I'm not sure how anything got done around here before I got a hammer.
We took Pop to the Cuban Kitchen. No, no, Pop...I'll pay.
Ropa vieja. Thinly shredded flank beef cooked in tomato base sauce and marinated in garlic, bell pepper, onion, bay leaf and more.
Puerco asado. Pork marinated in tasty tropical spice and mojo juice. Slow cooked then topped with grilled onion.
We had a nice big breakfast before skiing. Dad made brioche, topped it with bacon guacamole, and poached eggs. Even the food couldn't help but smile.
Mom is lame and requires a non-poached egg. Runny yokes are where it's at, mom.
Despite my large breakfast, I require many, many snacks because
I put in some long, hard miles.
I like wearing mom's hat. Looks better on me any way.
My work is really never done. Despite a grueling ski, I had to hang up the Christmas lights for the Bigs.
