Thanksgiving #1 was a potluck at Tom and Jess's. Unfortunately, we didn't get snaps of all the food. Here are the ones we got.
Kyle's bread:
Lentil dip:
Green beans:
Squash:
We had two chicken dishes. One was a harissa-marinated chicken with red grapefruit salad. Here is the salad:
The second chicken dish was roast chicken with clementines and arak.
Jess made a gorgeous spice cake and I made a pumpkin pie with gingersnap crust. Here I am making it:
Mom and Dad bought all the ingredients to make Thanksgiving dinner for us and Pop, so we had that on Friday.
Spatchcocked chicken:
Creamed greens and barley stuffing:
Spiked, mulled cider:
Pop and I needed to burn off all those calories. So, we walked:
ran,
and played.
I had to roll my legs after all that activity.
Plaid shirt, jeans? Check. Check.
Starbucks mug? Check. Check.
If you didn't notice by now - I like to copy Pop. Including having a glass of wine at dinner.
Pop read me a lot of books, so I took him out for beer and sriracha cauliflower. Yum!
